This Woman Transforms Stretch Marks Into Eye-Catching Art
Let’s face it: stretch marks are basically a fact of life.
No matter how much you work out or eat right, they just exist, taking up real estate on your body. But rather than try to hide them or feel embarrassed, there’s a new movement that’s all about embracing your natural beauty. First, supermodel Chrissy Teigen posted ultra-honest Snapchats showing off her stretch marks. Then Aerie stopped retouching the models it uses in its swimsuit and underwear campaigns. Now a 21-year-old artist has transformed stretch marks into eye-catching works of art.

Cinta Tort Cartró lives in Barcelona, and talks about what inspired the project, saying, “I grew up feeling sometimes out of place. I’m tall and big, so it’s important for me to state in my art that everyone is beautiful and those ‘flaws’ are not that. They make us unique and special.”
