‘Demure’ TikTok star Jools Lebron made the word popular
In a now viral video, TikTok creator Jools Lebron used the word when talkin about how she goes to work. “Very demure.”
The word is now trending on a daily basis. However, Jools Lebron is kicking herself after learning she didn’t trademark the word fast enough. She posted then deleted a video where she explains that someone named Jefferson A. Bates had filed a trademark for the phrase without her knowledge with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. According to the now deleted video: “I’ve just invested so much money and time into this and I feel like I did it wrong,” she said through tears in the clip. “I feel like I didn’t try hard enough. I wanted this to do so much for my family and provide for my transition, and I just feel like I dropped the ball.”
No word who Jefferson A. Bates is or what they plan on doing with the trademark but there is much speculation that Jools can fight this in court. No word what she plans on doing but this won’t be the last of this story. Stay tuned.
