Hurricane Milton Update, Millions Without Power And Multiple Casualties
Hurricane Milton Update. Hurricane Milton is now out of Florida but not before it wreaked havoc in its path. It slammed into the west coast of Florida Wednesday night as a category 3 storm and weakened to a category 2, then a 1 shortly after landfall. However, that did not weaken the devastation it caused.
Multiple homes have been destroyed. There are over 3 million without power. Multiple tornadoes touched down as well and that’s where deaths have been confirmed. Most of them in St. Lucie county. Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Rays, was damaged with the roof blowing off.
Winds reached 120mph and diminished to 80mph in affected areas.
Until Milton completely leaves Florida, which is expected by sunrise, it’s hard to tell exactly what type of devastation and damage we’re looking at. Things will start to look clearer when the sun comes up this morning. In the meantime, if you want to help, you can donate to the Red Cross as they have hurricane relief. Donate HERE.
