Diddy Files New Appeal, Offers To Sell His Private Plane
Diddy Files New Appeal. Diddy is clearly not happy behind bars and is asking to be let out by appeal, again. New legal documents have been filed by Diddy’s attorneys to release him 3 weeks after his arrest on sex trafficking and other charges. His attorneys are arguing that $50 million bail should be enough to ensure he is no flight risk. They are still offering no female visitors outside of family. They are also saying Diddy will continue to sell his private plane, submit to weekly drug tests and he won’t contact any grand jury witnesses.
This is the third attempt for Diddy to try and get out of jail on appeal. The first two attempts were not successful. Diddy is hoping the third time will be a charm. According to the appeal documents: “Mr. Combs is presumed innocent. He traveled to New York to surrender because he knew he was going to be indicted,” the filing reads. “He took extraordinary steps to demonstrate that he intended to face and contest the charges, not flee. He presented a bail package that would plainly stop him from posing a danger to anyone or contacting any witnesses. Under the Bail Reform Act, ‘liberty is the norm, and detention prior to trial or without trial is the carefully limited exception.’ “
His lawyers are asking he be released immediately. His next court date is October 10.
