Halloween Activities Happening On Halloween Day In The CSRA For The Whole Family To Enjoy
Whenever Halloween falls on a weekday, and for many kids that means on a school night, the activities for the holiday are focused on the weekend before. In the CSRA many events, like trunk or treats, were held the past weekend on Saturday, October 28, and Sunday, October 29, but if you did participate then no worries, there all still some events going on on the actual holiday for the whole family to enjoy.
Trunk or Treat – World of Beer
Spend the afternoon from 4 pm – 7 pm. World of Beer will be hosting a trunk or treat event. The event will include bouncy houses, a costume contest, face painting, and more! Kids will eat free with the purchase of an entrée. To end the night, there will be music bingo happening at 7 pm.
Trunk or Treat in the Hunted Garden
Burke County Public Library, which is located in Waynesboro, will be hosting an event from 3 p.m. – to 5 p.m.
Spooktacular Halloween Event
This event is designated for toddlers, but adults will be able to get in on the fun too. The Halloween event will be taking place at Phinizy Swamp from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. There will be Halloween-themed games and crafts to do at the park. Of course, there will be candy so don’t forget your treat bags. Also, there will be a costume contest.
Family Fall Festival – Kiokee Baptist Church
This event will be happening 6 pm – 8 pm. The evening will be filled with free food, rides, inflatables games, and candy!
If you are doing the traditional trick or treating from door to door be cautious of the weather. While we did just have a weekend filled with good weather, Halloween may feel a little different. This week starting on Halloween, October 31st, the cooldown will begin.
Light rain is a possibility earlier in the day as a cold front passes through. Morning temperatures will be anywhere from the upper 20s to upper 30s from Wednesday – Friday. Frost and freeze are also likely this week, as the beginning days of November also roll in.
Happy Halloween!
