Three years after the release of "No Flockin" he came back into the spotlight with his debut album Painting Pictures which peaked at No. 3 US Billboard 200. Painting Pictures contained "Tunnel Vision," another hit from the South Florida rapper. Despite being talented musically, the rapper is frequently in the spotlight due to his various legal issues and controversial takes on social media. In 2019, Black was arrested for weapons possession and was sentenced to almost four years in federal prison. He received an early release with the help of President Trump in 2021. While he was incarcerated he released his third studio album Bill Israel in 2020. Since his entry into mainstream rap, Kodak has collaborated with Future, Meek Mill, DaBaby, and more.

10. "Patty Cake" from 'Painting Pictures' (2017)

On "Patty Cake" from Kodak's debut album 'Painting Pictures,' the South Florida native boasts about his expensive lifestyle. Ness produced the track and said that Kodak wasn't originally the artist in mind when he made the beat. "When I made this I was thinking of A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Chance The Rapper, I could see Lil Wayne on it," he told Genius. "It's just one of them beats that a lot of people can just freestyle on and flow."
9. "VOODOO" Future ft. Kodak Black from 'I Never Liked You' (2022)

Future enlisted Kodak Black for "VOODOO" on his 2022 album 'I Never Liked You'. The song also features additional vocals from R&B artist, Kaash Paige. In this melodic trap record, Future raps about luxury items and drugs while Kodak compares devils and angels. The track debuted at No. 39 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Kendrick received some backlash for having Kodak on the album since he has had legal trouble in the past. Despite the backlash, the two artists rap on a mellow beat as they speak about fake relationships and boast about their luxurious lifestyles.
7. "SKRT" (2014)

The title of the song is named after the sound your car makes when you turn fast. Kodak released the song in 2014 but it later gained traction in the latter half of 2015 after Drake shared the song on his social media. Despite Kodak getting a nice cosign from the Canadian rapper he does not credit Drizzy for putting him on. "Drake ain't make me," Kodak said in regards of the track to The Fader. The track is certified platinum by the RIAA.
6. "No Flockin'" (2015)

"No Flockin" is Kodak Black's breakout hit. The hit arrived in 2015 and peaked at No. 95 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in January 2017. Despite this song putting him on the map, Kodak is not a huge fan of the track. "'No Flockin,' to tell you the truth, I really don't like that song," he said per Genius. "I was just saying anything because people was smoking flakka at that time. So I was making fun of my homeboys who started smoking that, my uncle was smoking that. I was just clowning them, but it went viral. "The song has been certified two times platinum by the RIAA.
5. "Roll In Peace" ft. XXXTENTACION from 'Project Baby 2' (2017)

The South Flordia rapper enlists the late XXXTENTACION for "Roll In Peace" on his 2017 album 'Project Baby 2.' In this track, Kodak addresses his legal troubles that had him constantly in the media spotlight and how it has hindered him from enjoying life's simple things. Both rappers also touched on their relationships with women on this track. The song is three times platinum by the RIAA.
4. "Tunnel Vision" from 'Painting Pictures' (2017)

In "Tunnel Vision" Kodak touches upon several systemic issues and offers his personal experience. The South Florida native raps about serving prison time and how the criminal justice system is corrupt and targets Black men. In the video for "Tunnel Vision," Kodak is seen in front of a burning cross referencing the hate group KKK burning the religious symbol in front of Black families' homes in the early 20th century. Later in the video, the rapper references a white man wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat in preparation to shoot a Black man when his gun jams and a little girl shouts "Stop!" The song is produced by Metro Boomin and Southside. This song has been certified six times platinum by the RIAA.

"Wake Up in the Sky" is a collaboration between Bruno Mars, Gucci Mane, and Kodak Black and serves as the third single from Gucci's 2018 album 'Evil Genius.' The song has all three artists rap and sing about the "high life." This is Kodak's first collaboration with Bruno and his second with Gucci as he appeared on Kodak's 2016 track "Vibin in This Bih." Kodak recruits Travis Scott and Offset for "ZEZE" off of his 2018 album 'Dying to Live'. In this track, all three rappers boast about the finer things in life. "Super Gremlin" was recorded for Kodak's Sniper Gang label compilation album 'Sniper Gang Presents Syko Bob & Snapkatt: Nightmare Babies' and later was added to his 2022 album 'Back for Everything.' On the track, he raps about his frequent collaborator Jackboys but also how someone he was close to switched up on him. The music video for "Super Gremlin" went viral due to the rapper being dressed up as a gremlin and behaving oddly in the visual.
