Fun Facts About Cato Fashions
Cato is a family-owned business that sells fashion pieces like clothes and accessories. It was founded by Wayland Henry Cato.
It’s headquarters was established in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1946. When they first opened, the initial manager would purchase and stock high-end dresses in the stores. Well, this wasn’t working out for the clothing store that had been put in these rural locations. The expensive apparel that had been added to the store was a bad match for the area and sales began to suffer.
Once they made that adjustment – they started catering to junior sizes.
Now, there are more than 900 stores across 30 states. They not only carry junior clothes, but misses, plus size – with sizes ranging from 4 through 26w and girls’ sizes 7 to 16. In addition to the clothes, the accessories they have are jewelry, handbags, and home décor items – even shoes.
Cato’s Motto is “New fashions every week. Low prices every day.”
The CSRA is home to 7 other Cato locations as well. We have listed them down below.
