Cardi B is firing back at a homeowner who claims she and Offset skipped out on paying for the use of his home in their “Like What” music video. Cardi took to her X account to share proof of payment, sparking quite the conversation. "IRON YOUR BEST SUIT B---- I'll see you in court!!!!" she declared. The couple is facing a lawsuit for allegedly using a Beverly Hills mansion without settling the rental fees.

TMZ reports that court documents suggest Cardi, Offset, and their crew may have misled the homeowner about using the house for a TikTok video, leading the homeowner to waive the usual short-term rental fee.

Since the lawsuit caught fire online, Cardi B didn’t hold back, airing out the homeowner’s claims. She posted a flurry of text exchanges with Offset, along with a screenshot showing a $4,500 payment. The messages revealed the duo was fully aware of the $10,000 rental fee plus cleaning charges. “We paid those people $10,000 IN CASH to rent the property for a whole 24 hours that same day 6am to 6am the next morning, and we went over by ONE hour, which we paid overage fees to the realtor for in March,” she explained.

The “Like What” music video, which dropped six months ago, has already racked up over 27 million views on YouTube.

Fans were here for Cardi’s evidence-sharing showdown. “The way a Libra keeps receipts. You should never try us. We have receipts from before we were even born. It’s not a game,” one person chimed in. Another added, “I don’t know why they keep playing with Cardi like she won’t post RECEIPTS.” Someone else noted, “When everything’s in writing, the truth speaks for itself.”

About four years ago, Cardi B won a nearly $4 million defamation lawsuit against a YouTube host named Tasha K over lies about drug abuse, STDs, and prostitution. One video from the YouTuber was cited in the lawsuit. It included a statement that Cardi had done sex acts “with beer bottles on f---ing stripper stages.” Other videos said the superstar had contracted herpes; that she had been a prostitute; that she had cheated on her husband; and that she had done hard drugs.

About four years back, Cardi B won a nearly $4 million defamation case against YouTube host Tasha K over false claims about drug use, STDs, and prostitution. One infamous video claimed Cardi performed "sex acts with beer bottles on f---ing stripper stages." The court ultimately ruled in Cardi’s favor, holding Tasha responsible for defamation, invasion of privacy, and emotional distress, with a hefty judgment of over $2.5 million in damages and another $1.3 million for legal fees. Tasha’s appeal was swiftly dismissed by a federal court.

Currently, Cardi B and Offset are dealing with this lawsuit while navigating a divorce and welcoming their third child together.
