Rihanna Reveals Son RZA’s First Words
In Rihanna’s latest sit down with Interview Magazine, the singer revealed what her son RZA’s first words were.
“I used to try to get his attention all the time, and I would say, ‘Hey, hey, hey.’ And one day, he said it back to me in the same melody, and I kept singing it, and he kept following it over and over again,” the singer told the publication.
Rihanna shares two sons with her partner A$AP Rocky. RZA was born in 2022, and Riot in 2023. Long before children came into the picture, the two were friends. Rihanna recalled that while there had been whisperings over the years that the two were an item before officially dating in 2019. One moment was in 2012 at the VMAs while they performed together A$AP Rocky smacked her butt and kissed her on the cheek. RiRi also clarified that the two were not dating during the “Fashion Killa” video in 2013, in which Rihanna and A$AP were seen shopping together in a designer store.

Throughout their years of friendship, they have been romantically linked to other people in the industry. Rihanna dated Drake, Chris Brown, Travis Scott, Matt Kemp, and most recently Hassan Jameel before dating A$AP.The rapper also had been tied to a couple of women, including models Chanel Iman and Kendall Jenner, as well as singer Rita Ora and rapper Iggy Azalea.
Their friendship later blossomed into a relationship, and they “started dating with a lot of caution,” knowing that they could “make or break each other’s hearts.” The couple got to know one another better over the COVID-19 pandemic. The Fenty mogul said that COVID “sped up” their relationship and that if it wasn’t for the pandemic, “we would’ve taken a lot more time to get comfortable with each other, to even know that we were ready.” She credited the progression of their relationship as a part of God’s timing because “God knew we needed [our relationship] because we were going to start a family.”
Rihanna is happy with her two boys but she wouldn’t be upset with having more the singer said. When asked how many more kids would she want, the singer said that it is in God’s hands but she said she “would try for my girl. But of course, if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”
Elsewhere in the interview, she gave an update about new music. The singer said that she has a lot of visuals in mind but admitted she doesn’t have “songs for them yet.”
