A Waggin’ Good Time In Aiken – Woofstock Doggie Derby Day
Get ready for a great, family fun day to support Friends Of The Animal Shelter – Aiken with Woofstock Doggie Derby Day! The fun begins at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Citizens Park, 1060 Banks Mill Road in Aiken. The event wraps up at noon. The rain date is scheduled for May 18th.

The morning will be filled with fun for the whole family, dogs included! Not only will there be food and music, but the day also includes a pet parade, dog race competitions, adoptable pets, and more. They will also host dog contests with prizes for best costume, best trick, look-a-like, and best kisser.
Woofstock Doggie Derby Day was voted Aiken Choice Best of Aiken Winner Pet Friendly Family Event.

Friends of the Animal Shelter – FOTAS Aiken is raffling a child-size pedal Wienermobile. Tickets are $5 each, or 3 for $10, and can be purchased at Downtown Dog, 150 Laurens Street SW in Aiken.
All proceeds benefit the Aiken County Animal Shelter.

This year marks 15 years of the partnership and throughout the years they have made a big difference for animals in the Aiken and surrounding areas.
FOTAS received the Secretary of State of South Carolina Angel Award. This makes them one of 10 (out of 14,000 organizations) honored for representing the most efficient and effective charities in the state.
FOTAS offers support for a wide array of services, including spay and neuter, heartworm care, foster care, transfer, and more. You can donate in multiple ways and can designate how you’d like the funds to be used. You can support general funding, help with shelter wish list items, or for any of the programs they offer.
FOTAS is partnered with the Aiken County Animal Shelter, located at 333 Wire Road in Aiken. The shelter is open Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. While not required, appointments are encouraged.
