Little Guide Augusta Gears Up For 2024 Book Launch
Even as a native of the CSRA, we all need a little guidance or even a Little Guide to help us navigate the many businesses that the city has to offer. What better way to learn about those local businesses here than at the palm of your hands with Little Guide Augusta?
What is Little Guide?
Little Guide is a small red book made up of locally owned businesses sharing their unique stories for residents and businesses alike. The books are currently in Augusta, Macon, Amelia Island, and Bakersfield. Savannah is next up to join the Little Guide community.
Big things are happening for Little Guide Augusta, which is gearing up to distribute its newest edition for 2024 in the coming week. As stated, this book will be compiled of local businesses telling their stores, but specifically from around the CSRA.
I sat with some of the Augusta team to tell me more about this upcoming launch for the newest edition. National Sales Director, Jeremy Rueggeberg and Jessica Baskette, who is over productions, shared what they are most excited about for this newest 2024 edition. For Jessica, this will be the second Little Guide Augusta book that she has produced, her first was the 2023 edition.
“Just being able to take what we did last year and tweak it and make it even better. We’re telling a lot of new stories in this book and I think that’s exciting too. There’s been a lot of new businesses open over the past year,” Jessica said.
Jeremy is most excited to continue the Health Care section. Last year’s book was the first time they included that section.
“I’m thinking about the new residents who move in and they’ve left all of their allegiances behind. They need a new roofer. They need a plumber, they need a pediatrician. They don’t know where to start,” Jeremy said.
How do I get a Little Guide Augusta?
First off the book is free! The books are distributed through business partners that have worked with Little Guide Augusta.
One of the best ways to find your nearest location distributor is on mylittleguide.com.
- Scroll down to ” Find a book near you”
- A map will pull up to help you navigate to the location nearest you.
For example, one of the local businesses that is a distributor is Ubora Coffee.
While this is very helpful for new residents coming to the area, this is also helpful for the business owners included to have a chance to network, collaborate, and learn about their neighboring businesses.
“This is a really good business-to-business development tool meaning there are a lot of business owners – small business owners who would love to do business development. They would love to make relationships with other business owners,” Jeremy stated.
While Jeremy and Jessica learn about new businesses in the CSRA all the time, they are still wowed by the ones they run across. For Jeremy, he was surprised that their client, Pedal Pub, had made its way to Augusta, after learning about the business in Savannah, Georgia. For Jessica, Gnome Gamers was something she never knew existed, but thought it had a cool business model.
This year they will be kicking off the launch with an official Little Guide Augusta 2024 launch party! Something first of its kind for the Little Guide Community.
It’s a chance to not only celebrate the new guide, but to celebrate and bring together the 105 business partners included in the book, giving them the opportunity to meet and connect with one another!
Little Guide Go
Jessica also spoke of a new web-based contest that will hard launch once books start to get distributed. It’s called Little Guide Go.
“So we put stickers outside of all of our brick-and-mortar locations for all of our business partners. So it has a little QR code on it. When you scan that QR code, it’ll ask you for some information for a submission. For every submission is one entry into winning monthly and quarterly annual giveaways.”
“And we’ve partnered with Augusta Gift Baskets, who is also a client of the book, to be able to put together baskets that are going to be about 120 or more in value,” Jessica said.
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to get my hands on this newest edition of Little Guide Augusta!
