Cardi B Drops ‘Enough (Miami)’
Cardi B released her fiery new single “Enough (Miami)” on Friday (March 15). The rapper expresses in the song that she has simply had enough of haters and will keep “standing on business” and living her life.
“God gave it to me, so I gotta pop it/ I’m standing on business, I’m really about it/ Bitches be talkin’, mouth be bigger than they pockets/ Girl, tell me about it,” she rapped. “I’m litty, I’m pretty, I’m runnin’ the city/ I’m s——’ on bitches in every department/ This a– heavy and thick like peanut butter and bitches jelly about it.”
In the music video directed by Patience Harding, the Bronx native changes her outfit as she spits her braggadocio-filled bars.
This is not the only song that Cardi is a part of today; the rapper also has a guest appearance in Flo Milli’s viral “Never Lose Me” with SZA.
“Enough (Miami)” follows the release of “Like What,” which the rapper released earlier this month. It samples Missy Elliott‘s 1999 classic “She’s A Bitch.”
Cardi B On Her Anxiety Affecting Her Career
Fans have been awaiting Cardi B’s sophomore album for quite some time, and she has been open about why it has been delayed.
“I promise y’all this year, I’m not letting my anxiety, I’m not letting what haters say, I’m not letting what fans say,” on social media. “If I do a song, I’m just gon’ f—— drop it. Well, I have no choice because I’m dropping my album this year. So, stay tuned for the announcement. But, don’t play with me.”
She spoke about it previously back in 2022.
“I used to love making music, but now, making music to me has become like a job that gives me anxiety,” Cardi B said on Instagram Live at the time. “Everybody just critiques everything that I do, that it’s just like…you know, sometimes you just don’t want to do something that may give you that much anxiety. So I just be like, “Uh!” — freezing myself but I have to let that go. I have to release more music — I have to go out there.”
