New Masters Hospitality Experience Opening This Year
A new Masters hospitality experience is set to open this year. It will be ready before the 2024 tournament tees off in about a month. If you’ve driven down Washington Road lately, then you’ve probably noticed some work. That doesn’t seem odd for this time of year. Everyone is prepping for tournament week. However, you may have noticed a good chunk of work happening around the old Electrolux building. Have you wondered what it was? Well, now we know.
Map and Flag
“Map and Flag” is the name of the new hospitality building that will be located in the old Electrolux. It will be similar to Berckman’s Place which is located on course at Augusta National. According to an article on Golf.com, “Map and Flag” will feature a series of premium food, drink, and merchandise options, including a “food hall,” a sports bar, and an outside garden and merchandise shop.
Here’s the thing though, most of us will probably never see the inside of “Map and Flag”. One of the main reasons why is that no cell phones are allowed inside. Another reason is the cost is $17,000 for the week. That price includes access to the hospitality venue as well as a tournament badge. Tips are included in the cost as well. We don’t know how many passes were sold. All passes were sold directly from Augusta National to customers, and the club will operate Map & Flag, sources said.
My buddies and I have been dying to get into Berckman’s Place for years. So, now there is a new place for us to look at and wonder what it’s like in there. If any of y’all make it in “Map and Flag” you’ll have to tell me how it is!
