More Growth For Exit 5 In North Augusta
The land next to QT is being cleared now, which means more growth for Exit 5 in North Augusta. A new apartment complex will be built here, and I hear it could be the beginning of a shopping center, multi-family housing, and possibly a grocery store.
The Beginning of Something Big
The Oak Haven Apartments is a project with ATC Development and will include over 300 apartments. I guess it’s official now because the sign is up, and they are clearing the land. Looks like they are trying to save some trees, too.

More Growth For Exit 5 In North Augusta
Growth can happen quickly once it starts. I remember when I lived in Walnut Grove years ago, the only thing in that area was a Winn-Dixie. Then came a Sonic, a new convenience store, and Wal-Mart, and now it’s one of the busiest areas in North Augusta. Being just off I-20 helps immensely, too.
This new neighborhood is on the other side of I-20 and could grow even quicker. I have always wondered how long Publix would take to open another store in the Exit 5 area. It seems the only Publix in North Augusta is busier than ever. Could this be a good spot for a new one? Just my thoughts. Nothing official, of course.
