Megan Thee Stallion Announces New Album & Tour

Hotties, get ready! Megan Thee Stallion will be dropping a new album and heading on tour this summer.

"Oh, we’re having the tour this year. The Hot Girl Summer tour is going to be 2024, summertime,” she said on Good Morning America on Tuesday (Jan. 30). "I feel like I’ve never been able to be outside doing my own thing during the summer, since like 2019."

In addition to the tour, the rapper also announced that she will be dropping her third studio album in time for the  summer tour.

In her interview, she also touched on how the last couple of years of her personal life have been. Without going into specifics, the Houston native said how times have been "rough" for her and that she's been "tired" but ultimately did not want to give up on her music.

Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison in August 2023 after shooting Megan in the foot back in 2020.

More recently, with the drop of her song "HISS" last Friday (Jan. 26), she has reignited her feud with Nicki Minaj. The Traumazine rapper came for the New York native's husband with the bar: "These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law/ I don’t really know what the problem is, but I guarantee y’all don’t want me to start," the Houston native raps.

"Megan's Law" is a federal law that requires registered sex offenders' information to be available to the public. Clearly, it is a dig at Nicki's husband, Kenneth Petty, who is a registered sex offender. Petty was sentenced to three years probation in July 2022 for failing to register in California as a sex offender. He and Minaj moved to California from New York, where he was initially registered. In 1995, Petty was convicted of the first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl. He spent four years in prison in New York.

Nicki followed up with released "Big Foot," on Monday (Jan. 29) with the viral bar: "Bad bitch she like six foot, I call her Big Foot/ The bitch fell off, I said get up on your good foot," she rapped.

As of this writing, Megan has not responded to Nicki.

TikTok is a place where you can find out your favorite artist's personality. Artists and their teams have been able to leverage social media to their advantage. It gives fans an inside look at who they are as a person outside of their music.

Latto and Cardi B "Put It On Da Floor Again," for the remix of her viral hit. The firey remix accompanies their music video, where Latto and Cardi B run around a grocery store, jewelry store and party reciting the lyrics. Cardi B's husband Offset makes a cameo as does LSU star Angel Reese.

Besides music, Latto has used social media to clear up any beef she's had with fellow rappers. Back in March, a fan accused Latto of mimicking Ice Spice's cover to her debut EP Like...?

"Every time y’all accuse me of copying folks ima clear it up. Nun mo nun less."

"I don’t like how y’all take my tweets & make them fit ur weak a-- narratives," she added in a separate tweet.

Cardi B is known for fire bars as an artist but the real appeal to her is that she reveals she is so relatable to her fans. In the TikTok above, Cardi gives fans a glimpse of her every day as "Belcalis" (her real name) and not as Cardi B the artist. Her TikTok account has previews of her music, reposts of fans vibing and dancing to her music, and social media challenges she participates in.

Coi Leray loves to give her fans behind-the-scenes access to her music and TikTok is her medium. The New Jersey native often previews clips of music she is about to release to get a vibe check from her fans. When she's not showing unreleased music or hopping on a TikTok challenge, she is seen hanging out with her team and friends.

Megan Thee Stallion is known for her hilarious voiceovers on social media. In the TikTok above, the "Savage" rapper was recapping her performances overseas last year. Like many other artists, Megan uses TikTok to preview new music, show some behind-the-scenes content, and show off her infectious personality.

Ice Spice is one of the more popular artists out at the moment. This year linked with Nicki Minaj twice on two songs, "Princess Diana," and "Barbie World." Ice Spice tends to use TikTok as a first look at new music just like the time video above.

NLE Choppa is hilarious on TikTok. The rapper likes to vary his sound from time to time which the above video shows him sliding on a pop song. He also frequently participates in TikTok challenges.
