Richmond County Schools Cancel Wednesday Afternoon Activities

With severe weather expected Wednesday from the effects of Hurricane Idalia, the Richmond County School System has issued a statement regarding the day's schedule.

"The Richmond County School System is closely monitoring the weather forecasts and the anticipated impact of Hurricane Idalia on our area.  Out of an abundance of caution, all schools will be restricting outdoor activities tomorrow (Wednesday) and also all after-school activities including athletics are canceled for Wednesday.  We will continue to provide updates through Parent Portal, our social media channel and the media."
