Ye's brand Yeezy is now independent following the global sportswear company severing ties with the rapper last year amid his racist attacks at the Jewish community.
"Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness," the statement reads. "After a thorough review, the company has taken the decision to terminate the partnership with Ye immediately, end production of Yeezy branded products and stop all payments to Ye and his companies. Adidas will stop the Adidas Yeezy business with immediate effect."
The new Yeezy office is reportedly on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. On the map it's just a few steps away from an Adidas store. It seems like a deliberate move, given Kanye and Adidas' history.

While Kanye lost his billionaire status following several companies dropping their partnership with the rapper, Adidas also suffered. The brand has over $500 million in leftover Yeezy products that they can’t sell.
Adidas partnered with West in 2013. They expanded their relationship in 2016. It was called "the most significant partnership ever created between a non-athlete and an athletic brand."
The sportswear brand put its relationship with Ye under review after the rapper was seen wearing the 'White Lives Matter' shirt he designed for his YZY SZN 9 debut during Paris Fashion Week.
In other Kanye news, the rapper is currently in a legal situation involving his ex-business partner who is suing the Yeezy founder for $4.5M in damages. $900k is for the months Thomas St. John claims he was not paid, and the rest ($3.6M) is for the remainder of the contract. He's also looking for punitive damages as well.
Ye is countersuing St. John stating he took advantage of him during his divorce from Kim Kardashian. The rapper claims the deal he made with St. John isn't enforceable. Kanye says he signed it without help from a lawyer when he was "sleep-deprived, stressed, anxious, and under duress."
