Courtney Cox Responds To Kanye West Calling ‘Friends’ Not Funny
Courteney Cox misses the old Kanye. Cox, 58, took to Instagram to respond to one of Ye’s recent Instagram posts (now-deleted). It read: “I actually didn’t write the tweet that said ‘Friends wasn’t funny either’ but I wish I had.”
The Friends alum shared a funny video reaction while jamming to Kanye’s 2008 hit “Heartless” as she scrolls to reads his message. Her brows furrow as she focuses on the “Friends wasn’t funny” line. She then angrily sets down her phone and walks away. “I bet the old Kayne thought Friends was funny,” Cox captioned the video with a frowning face emoji.
One user commented, “I love Friends as much as Kanye loves Kanye.” Other fans of the show rallied behind Courtney to express their love of the series with another person writing, “People who don’t think Friends is funny scare me.”
Though Ye might not be a fan of the sitcom, which ran from 1994 to 2004, he has been spotted hanging out with Cox on several occasions. Back in 2016, Kanye and his ex Kim Kardashian (along with her mother Kris Jenner and sister Kourtney) took a group photo. Kim shared the pic to her Instagram with Cox and her daughter, Coco Arquette, at a screening for Sasha Baron Cohen’s comedy, The Brothers Grimsby.
This isn’t the only Instagram post that Kanye has denied writing. Over the weekend, Ye addressed a post that supposedly came from his Instagram reading: “Kim has diarrhea a lot. Like way more than a normal person should have it.” In another “screen capture,” a text exchange between him and the mom of four read: “Please stop posting our private text messages on Instagram.” Ye’s response was, “B—- I know you texting this from the toilet.” On Sunday (September 4), Ye said the posts were fake and wrote, “This was not from me. Someone copied my style of text and wrote something not funny.”
