Blac Chyna Files Legal Docs To Dismiss Rob Kardashian Revenge Porn Suit
Blac Chyna has filed legal paperwork to end her longtime court battle with ex Rob Kardashian over claims of revenge porn.
The 34-year-old reality star came to a settlement with Kardashian, 35, in June, and over the weekend, requested the Los Angeles County Superior Court dismiss the revenge porn claim with prejudice, People reports.
The dismissal would put an end to their ongoing legal battles and prohibit future claims in connection with the case between the exes, who are parents to five-year-old daughter Dream Renée. Per the publication, the exes resolved the dispute out of court days after a judge denied Kardashian’s motion to enforce a settlement, in which his lawyers argued that “Chyna and her counsel have acted in bad faith.”
In June, Rob claimed that Chyna said she would drop her lawsuit if he helped her get out of a lawsuit filed against her by “former friend” Justin C. Jones. Jones, who is Chyna’s ex, accused the pair of “public disclosure of private facts” and “intentional infliction of emotional distress” after they allegedly caused him to face cyberbullying as a result of outing him as gay. Rob agreed to the deal, but Chyna later “changed her mind” and threatened to move forward to trial with their revenge porn lawsuit.
Chyna has been in a legal battle with the Kardashian-Jenner family since 2017, which was after they split. She sued Rob and his family that October, accusing them of damaging her brand as well as verbally and physically abusing her.
The lawsuit came after Rob leaked nude photos of Chyna on Instagram and accused her of drug abuse, alcohol abuse and cheating on him. Chyna claimed these incidents, as well as the Kardashians’ influence over E! probably resulted in Rob & Chyna‘s cancellation, despite reports of it being renewed for a second season. Because of this, her legal team has since argued that Chyna has likely missed out on millions of earned dollars from earnings and future earnings from the show.
The Kardashian-Jenners won the defamation trial in May with no damages awarded to Chyna, with a countersue of nearly $400,000 to cover the Kar-Jenners’ court costs.
