Oprah’s Dolly Parton Interview Addressing Plastic Surgery Resurfaces
Clips from Oprah Winfrey’s 2003 sit-down interview with the iconic country singer Dolly Parton has resurfaced and fans are questioning Oprah’s intentions behind the very personal questions.
A fan posted the first clip to the interview on Twitter Saturday.

In the first video, Oprah asks Dolly how she’s able to stay looking so good and Dolly responds jokingly that she’s a “cartoon” and that she “looks the same all the time.” Oprah then proceeds to ask her about the cosmetic work she’s had done which Dolly responds proudly, “Yes, I have and I’ll have some more done when I need it.” Fans are saying that Oprah’s “disappointed” look was throwing shade towards Dolly’s openness.

Another fan posted the second part of the interview and tweeted out, “why did Oprah drag dollys mental health into it.”
During the second clip, Oprah asked, “When you hit your 40s I heard that you went into a huge depression?” Dolly responded, “I didn’t go into a depression because I was 40, that’s just because I was fat and 40,” she added with a laugh.
Look how fans are responding to the interview:
Oprah wasn’t pulling some type of move here. She was asking questions based on stuff Dolly herself had said. Oprah’s huge platform discussing mental health & cosmetic surgery without having it seen as taboo topics was groundbreaking. Her questions had zero judgment.

Never cared for Oprah tbh, especially after the way she did Michael Jackson. Dolly is an Angel.

And Dolly remained unbothered, Oprah was weird for that.

It wasn’t dragging. Oprah had been relentlessly insulted over the years for her weight among other things. She asked these questions to many people. She’s often focused on body image. A lot of women really face these challenges at 40+.
