As we reported yesterday, Ice Cube has been taking a lot of heat from fans on Twitter over the news that he's worked with the Trump administration to develop Trump's "Platinum Plan," billed as "a promise to Black America over four years."
One fan retweeted a tweet from Cube from four years ago, expressing that he would never endorse "a mutha----- like Donald Trump! Ever!"
Cube responded to the fan, simply saying, "I haven't endorsed anybody."
Further explaining himself, he noted that he wants to work with both Democrats and Republicans, tweeting, "Black progress is a bipartisan issue. When we created the Contract With Black America we excepted to talk to both sides of the isle. Talking truth to power is part of the process."
As Cube tweeted yesterday, "Facts: I put out the CWBA," referring to the "Contract With Black America."
"Both parties contacted me. Dems said we’ll address the CWBA after the election. Trump campaign made some adjustments to their plan after talking to us about the CWBA."
He also responded to a tweet from the Washington Post that said, "Ice Cube once rapped about arresting Trump. Now he's advising the president on policy plans." Cube said, "I will advise anybody on the planet who has the power to help Black Americans close the enormous wealth gap."
Chuck D, a longtime friend of Cube's, said that "He's my brother," and while he understand's his reservations about Joe Biden, "This 45 at the top IS a narcissistic fascist," referring to President Trump.
Cube recently released a song called "Arrest The President."
