On Thursday (Mar. 19), Tamar Braxton took to Instagram and told her fans that she was going to “keep it interesting” during the quarantine and that if she reached 4.5k comments underneath her post, she would be dropping a new song.

Apparently, Braxton got over 4.5k comments, and so the singer and reality TV star released her new single “Crazy Kind of Love,” which is from the True To The Game 2 soundtrack.

“Yes she did! ‘Crazy Kind of Love’ from the True to the Game 2 soundtrack OUT NOW.” Braxton wrote in the caption of her Instagram post on Friday (Mar. 20), announcing the new single.

“Streaming on all platforms!!! Tag #CrazyKindofLove while singing my song & I will repost & reshare you guys. Thank you to everyone who made this possible. We’re only UP and UP and UP from here. God is good! Let’s gooo!”

“If you haven’t noticed, I don’t like to share. Without even notice, I still need you there. Oh, I tried. Oh, I tried to keep you by my side. Picture perfect from a whole other view. Got a crazy kind of love for you,” Braxton sang on the track.

“Crazy Kind of Love” is an interpolation of Whitney Houston’s hit song “Saving All My Love,” which she won her first Grammy award for. On Friday (Mar. 20), Braxton also teased the video for the single via Instagram.

“WAIT WAIT WAIT…don’t be hasty with me y’all! Those comments were done WAY too fast!!!!” Braxton wrote in the comment section of the teaser she shared. “Well, since the song will be up at 12 am now I thought…I’d give you an official sneak peek of the music video instead!!!! Enjoy Tamartians!” Braxton’s beau David Adefeso appears in the teaser along with a few clips from True to the Game 2. Listen to the “Crazy Kind of Love” below.
