Come April, California will be allowing companies to test driverless cars on public roads.
According to Complex, California’s Dept. Of Motor Vehicles has made safety their first priority, “This is a major step forward for autonomous technology in California,” they also said that “safety is out to concern and we are ready to begin working with manufacturers.”
Companies interested in applying for a permit, there are three different types. Testing with a safety driver, driverless testing, and deployment.
