Saweetie Is Celebrating ‘The Single Life’ On New EP
Saweetie’s highly anticipated EP The Single Life is officially out. The six-track project dropped Friday (Nov. 18) and follows the rapper’s newly released track “Don’t Say Nothin'” which is also found on the project. “Don’t Say Nothin'” dropped Thursday (Nov. 17) and the Bay Area rapper says is about keeping things lowkey.
“‘Don’t Say Nothin” is for my single women who are upset with the violation of privacy,” Saweetie told Rolling Stone. “If you give someone an intimate moment keep it on hush mode.”
On the track she raps, “Shut your mouth, n—-, don’t say nothin’/Don’t you tell nobody we f—in'” Later in the song she raps, “Don’t make me refund the d—/Sent his a– back ’cause he came too quick/That s— wasn’t bussin’/I knew I shouldn’t have f—ed him.”
The “Icy Girl” rapper previously shared her process in the making of The Single Life.
“I’m excited to share what I went through,” she said last month to Rolling Stone. “I think as I was making it, I was more proud to be single. Because I realized that I was growing, I realized that I was elevating. And I realized that I was becoming a better woman.”
She added at the time, “It was definitely revolutionary. It was heartbreaking. It was honest. It was a reflection. It’s just me being Saweetie in full transparency.”
The Single Life comes as fans patiently await Saweetie’s album Pretty Bitch Music. The rapper has yet to announce an official date for her debut album.
