Drake Responds To Backlash Over ‘Honestly, Nevermind’
Drake quickly became the #1 trending topic on Twitter after he dropped his seventh studio album Honestly, Nevermind. While this album strays from the rapper’s usual hip-hop-infused R&B records, the dance music-heavy album has left many Drake fans disappointed. However, Drake has seen the tweets and he’s ready to address the situation.
In the clip, “Calling My Name” from Honestly, Nevermind plays in the background as the Toronto rapper says, “It’s all good if you don’t get it yet. It’s all good.”
“That’s what we do,” he continued as he seemingly dances to what looks like to be an album release party. “We wait for you to catch up. We’re in here, though. We’re caught up already. On to the next. My goodness.”
The new LP includes 14 songs, and was executive produced by Drake, Noah “40” Shebib, Drake’s manager Oliver El-Khatib, Noel Cadastre, and Black Coffee. 21 Savage serves as the album’s only guest appearance which he makes on the last song “Jimmy Cooks.”
