Former Atlanta Braves Player And Hall Of Famer Hank Aaron Honored On Forever Postage Stamp
On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, the United States Postal Service and the Atlanta Braves hosted a special ceremony to unveil the Forever stamp that honors Hank Aaron. Henry Louis “Hank” Aaron was an Atlanta Braves player and baseball Hall of Famer.
The special ceremony was held at Truist Park, the current home of the Atlanta Braves. Representatives from the United States Postal Service, along with the Atlanta Braves Chairman, Terry McGuirk, were a part of the celebration. Mrs. Billye Aaron, Hank Aaron’s widow, was also there and spoke during the ceremony. During her speech, Mrs. Aaron thanked the United States Postal Service for making this honor possible. She also shared how very proud she was and how Hank would be as well.
The Postal Service’s general counsel and executive vice president, Thomas Marshall, served as the dedicating official. He said, “We hope this stamp serves as a reminder of Hank Aaron’s success on the baseball diamond and his work to champion equality. Whether it’s breaking baseball’s most famous record or opening the door for future generations, Henry ‘Hammerin’ Hank’ Aaron inspires all of us to swing for the fences.”
Hank Aaron Featured On Commemorative Forever Stamp
The Forever stamp shows Hank Aaron in his Atlanta Braves uniform at bat. The stamp is now available for purchase at the United States Post Offices and on the United States Postal Service website.

Others Honored On The Forever Stamp
The United States Postal Service has a variety of Forever stamps honoring individuals and important causes.
Earlier this year, Alex Trebek, who served as the host of “JEOPARDY!” for 37 seasons, was honored on the Forever Stamp. And in March 2024, the United States Postal Service released Forever Stamps featuring 10 men and women who helped guide enslaved people to freedom through the Underground Railroad.
There are also Forever stamps honoring the healthcare community, as well as stamps to raise awareness about causes like protecting sea turtles.
Forever stamps are currently 73 cents each. A sheet of 20 Forever stamps can be purchased for $14.60.
