You Can Watch The Atlanta Braves On Xfinity Again
For three months you haven’t been able to watch the Atlanta Braves on Xfinity. Thankfully, later this week that will change! In case you weren’t sure what this was about, it was basically a dispute between Xfinity and Diamond Sports, which is the company that owns the Bally Sports regional sports networks. This dispute took Bally Sports off of Xfinity, thus leaving us with no Braves games since May 1st.
We Can See The Atlanta Braves On Xfinity Again
According to an article from WSB this Thursday, August 1st, is when you can catch the Atlanta Braves on Xfinity again. In the article, Greg Rigdon, who is the president of content acquisition for Comcast said ““We appreciate Diamond Sports working with us to reach a solution that returns the Bally Sports RSNs to our Ultimate TV customers in a way that reflects the changing video marketplace for local sports. We look forward to making these networks available on August 1, so customers can enjoy watching their favorite teams again.”
Can I say, I’m actually shocked that a deal got done? Usually when these disputes between cable companies and/or streaming providers occur, it’s solved within a few days or a couple of weeks tops. This dispute between Diamond Sports and Comcast has been going on for three months. Personally, I figured they’d given up, and we just wouldn’t see the Atlanta Braves on Xfinity again.
This news actually comes at a great time as the Braves can hopefully string some more wins together and make a run at the post season coming up in October. Whether that happens or not, at least now, we’ll be able to see it.
