We used to see former NFL Quarterback Drew Brees light up the field vs. the Falcons at least once per year. Now Brees is taking over Georgia once again. This Super Bowl champ has backed a new pickleball franchise called The Picklr, and they are set to take over the state with 10 locations opening soon.
While we are still awaiting the towns and exact locations of each Picklr spot to be unveiled, the company has stated that ten Picklr's are confirmed. In the meantime, let’s dig into what makes this pickleball establishment different. Here is what you have to look forward to.
What To Expect With This New Pickleball Franchise Experience
As you would expect, The Picklr is an indoor pickleball facility with multiple courts. They operate off a membership model similar to that of a gym or your local fitness center.
The Picklr describes themselves and their business model as “The fastest-growing club for the fastest-growing sport.” In fact, they are very transparent about all their expected business growth over the next two years. By looking at their franchise map, you can see that 275 locations across the country are committed.
In terms of actually playing the game, The Picklr offers members an all-encompassing pickleball experience. There’s unlimited play, tournaments, leagues to join, clinics, and member events. Each membership holder can also bring four guests to their club per month. Locker rooms and showers are also an amenity of every club.
As for Drew Brees, the Super Bowl champ has a long history in the franchise business and the sport of pickleball. Brees has shared via his social media handles how he’s played in the NOLA Picklefest. He’s also an owner of Walk-On’s restaurants, Smalls Sliders, and Jimmy John’s franchises. In fact, his world came together in an Instagram post Brees shared in November when Jimmy John’s gifted Brees some customer pickleball gear.
Brees has also promoted the Picklr to his 1.7 million Instagram followers quite a bit lately. Recent posts this week show clips of Brees talking about Picklr expanding to the state of Indiana, a state Brees has ties to as a Purdue alumni.
In many of the states where The Picklr is "coming soon," they are holding a promotion close to opening for prospective members. By joining the mailing list, you are eligible to become founding members. “The first 150 members to join will get an exclusive discounted rate for life,” they said. You can keep an eye out here for this to open for Georgia residents as the locations progress.
Georgia Destination Named A Best Tiny House Hotel
A recent report by Shermans Travel detailed the 10 best Tiny House hotels in America, and a Georgia destination made the list. "Tiny homes are one of the hottest residential design trends right now," they explain.
In addition, Realtor.com published a story last year that gave readers a glimpse of what exactly is going on with the Tiny House trend in America. But what is a Tiny House? Typically, they are 100 to 400 square feet. Many of them (though not a requirement) are situated in quieter areas. It is very common to find tiny home communities tucked within nature, in a peaceful and serene setting.
Other common attributes include creative ways to establish storage space and loft beds. They are often energy-efficient simply due to the smaller footprint requiring less utility power.
"If you’re considering the tiny-home lifestyle, take it for a test drive before you hire a builder and go all-in," Realtor explained. That is another reason why having such Tiny House hotel options is helpful. It gives those who are interested a chance to try it out.
Live A Little Chatt - Rising Fawn, Georgia
Located just 30 miles outside Chattanooga, Live A Little Chatt has three Tiny Houses on the property to stay at. "It’s evident that each was built with love and intention," Shermans Travel explains. The Old Blue Chair house accommodates up to five guests, while the Shangri-Little and Wandering Gypsy can sleep three people.
Visitors to Rising Fawn Georgia are in close proximity to Cloudland Canyon State Park. That's where you will find hiking trails and two waterfalls. However, there is also nothing wrong with staying on the hotel grounds to embrace the simple environment around you to unwind fully.
Each of the three options at this Georgia destination that was named in the list of best Tiny House hotels is uniquely different from each other. "We strive to give you the place to find your bliss and live deliberately." Live A Little Chatt says.
