Ghosts: Do You Believe? Tour At The Miller Theater – A Thought Provoking Live Show
Last night was a night I’d been waiting on for a few months! The “Ghosts: Do You Believe?” Tour” with Dustin Pari came to the Miller Theater. This is a show I bought tickets for the day they went on sale. And it was a very intriguing show.
For those who listen to the Kicks Wake Up Krew, you already know my fascination with all things paranormal. I’ve been on ghost tours and love talking to people about their own experiences with paranormal activity. While I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect, I knew this was a show I was going to have to see.
Ghosts: Do You Believe? With Dustin Pari
According to the Ghosts: Do You Believe? website, this is a live show “where the boundaries of reality and the supernatural blur.” It’s hosted by Dustin Pari, who is a paranormal expert and has been in the TV shows Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International. The tour is described to be an “interactive journey through haunted encounters, mind-boggling phenomena, and first-hand accounts that will leave you questioning everything you thought you knew.”
Even based on the description of the show, I still wasn’t sure what to expect. I looked into Dustin Pari a little bit to learn more about him and how he got into exploring the paranormal. And like many people, it started from an experience he had when he was a kid. That piqued his curiosity wanting to know what happened and why.
Since then, Dustin’s been researching the paranormal for 30 years. He’s traveled throughout the United States and to 27 different countries and 6 continents. In addition to being part of the TV shows, he’s done lectures at paranormal and spiritual conferences and conventions and been interviewed by Anderson Cooper, and been on radio shows and podcasts. He’s also written books.
Ghosts: Do You Believe? – The Show
The show kicked off at 7:30 p.m. at the Miller Theater. It started with some video footage from Dustin’s time on Ghost Hunters. Then Dustin made his way onto the stage and introduced himself. I was surprised to find out he had a degree in multimedia production and worked for CBS and FOX News in Rhode Island, where he’s from.
He talked about how the events of 9-11 led him to a career in healthcare as an EMT. And then he talked about becoming a paranormal investigator sort of by accident.
He went on to talk about various unexplainable events that happened throughout the years. The one thing I really appreciated about Dustin’s investigation and knowledge is that he wasn’t quick to accept things at face value. This wasn’t a show that was full of dramatic tales of bizarre, terrifying experiences. Instead, Dustin questioned things that happened and looked for more evidence.
As a Christian myself, I was glad to hear Dustin openly admit he is as well. I’m not sure why this brought me some sort of relief. I think it’s because oftentimes people associate ghosts and the paranormal with the darker side. And while some of it can be, I think there’s a lot of things we don’t know… and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with investigating and asking questions.
Dustin is a great storyteller, with some humor thrown in that definitely kept things from getting too dark. In my opinion, he did an excellent job of keeping the audience engaged and had a great balance of videos and photos to support the stories he shared.
The first part of the show was about an hour, then we had a 15-minute intermission. The second part of the show was a Q&A. Ahead of the show, there was a QR code on the screen where people could submit their questions. Dustin went through each question and even had more stories to go along with some of them. While some questions were more on the serious side, there were a few that invoked a laugh from the audience, and you could tell they were questions Dustin hadn’t been asked before… Like, “Do ghosts watch me while I poop?” I can’t make this stuff up!
Overall, this was an excellent show. It kept me intrigued the entire time, and went by so fast! Even though I originally didn’t know what to expect, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a show that was not only entertaining but also thought-provoking. It was a great reminder to not always believe what people tell you but to dig in and ask questions and investigate for yourself. Dustin talked about finding as much evidence and proof, which makes it that much stronger.
Before The Show
I do have to say, before the show, I got to meet up with the Old Thyme Paranormal team. A couple of weeks ago they reached out to me and invited me to be a part of the team. This was my first time getting to see them since that call. It was great to see them and catch up. And I’m so excited about all of the opportunities we have coming up… starting with a Ghost Hunting 101 tour with Augusta Adventures Tours & Events. That’s coming up on May 25th, and you can get details HERE. Space is limited though, and these things book up fast!
