Exit 5 In North Augusta Gets Another Convenience Store
This low-country chain is expanding into Augusta, as well as Aiken and North Augusta. Parker’s Kitchen has a store open now in Augusta and Aiken, and the Jefferson Davis Highway at 520 is set to open soon in North Augusta.
Now, Exit 5 in North Augusta gets one. Just down from the QT, Parker’s will be located on the corner of Edgefield Road and Ascauga Lake Road. Construction should begin in late June or early July this year.
The first Parker’s in our area is at the intersection of Windsor Spring Rd. and Tobacco Rd in Augusta. According to their website-

The new Parker’s Kitchen will offer popular grab-and-go options as well as a hot bar serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily and convenient electronic kiosk ordering. Highlights will include never-frozen, antibiotic-free, double-breaded Southern Fried Chicken Tenders, signature mac ‘n’ cheese and potato logs as well as freshly made salads, gourmet coffee, freshly brewed sweet tea, Fancy Lemonade, 28-degree beer, fountain drinks with Chewy Ice and a wide range of convenience items. The new store will offer regular, diesel, and non-ethanol fuel at six fueling positions.
Parker’s Kitchen items are prepared fresh on-site and are available seven days a week. The entire menu in Augusta will be handcrafted on-site from the freshest ingredients by Parker’s Kitchen chefs who take pride in cooking for the communities where they live and work.
The Exit 5 area is rapidly growing, with rumors of another grocery store coming to the area, as well as new apartments next to the QT convenience store.
There are currently 7 convenience stores within a 2-mile area at Exit 5. This seems to be one of the fastest growing areas right now, including a new addition of 400 homes being added to the area.
