It’s Chill Out Day which means FREE Kona Ice for everybody! This event will take place at the Evans Town Center Park. This freebie is only be available April 15 from 4 pm-6 pm.

A little About Kona Ice
The Kona Ice franchise has been a part of the CSRA community since 2013. They are known for serving up gourmet tropical shaved ice. But they are more than just ice! They also pride themselves on creating joyful experiences, delivering smiles, and giving back to the community.
I spoke with the Director of Sales and Marketing for Kona Ice AugustaAiken, Maranda Carruth, about the big day.
What Is Chill Out Day?
“Chill Out Day has been a nationwide tradition for Kona Ice franchisees since 2013. It’s a day dedicated to spreading joy to our community during a relatively stressful time (tax day). This marks the first year that Kona of Augusta/Aiken is participating in this event, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!”
What Flavors Can You Get For Free?
“Guests can indulge in our top 10 flavors; featuring crowd favorites such as Blue Raspberry, Tigers Blood, and Ninja Cherry. All on the house for a truly refreshing experience!”
Upcoming Special Events for Kona Ice
“As we near the end of the school year, we have our hands full with our upcoming Kona Days at schools. These events are special fundraisers during school hours where we give back through sales. It’s incredible to witness some schools raise hundreds of dollars in just a couple of hours. Our true passion shines through in these moments as we actively contribute to the well-being of our schools and community.”
While this has been a nationwide event, this will be Kona Ice Augusta/Aiken’s inaugural participation. They are not certain of the exact turnout but they are optimistic that it will be a fantastic response from the community.
They are aiming to serve as many individuals in the two hours that the event will take place. Each truck is capable of serving over 300 people per hour.
