The Augusta Canal music cruise series starts back this month on April 26. This will be its 19th year of doing the Moonlight cruises.

What is the Augusta Canal music series?

Throughout the spring season and a little of the fall season, talented performers entertain aboard Augusta Canal’s Petersburg Boat. These rides usually take place on Fridays and a few Saturday evenings.

Boatgoers are encouraged to bring aboard snacks and beverages of their choice to enjoy the live music for an hour and a half along the scenic canal.

To take a ride you must reserve your spot. The cruises are geared toward adults - infants and young children are not recommended to be brought along.

Fridyas music is a variety of live music that is geared towards blues to bluegrass.

Saturday Music tours are tributes to iconic song styles of the 20th century.
