Drink And Eat For A Good Cause This Month At Ironwood Tavern
Ironwood Tavern is serving up a special drink and turkey sandwich all for a good cause. One of this month’s special drinks is “The Grey Fox”. This drink includes Conniption Gin, St. Germain, Knudsen Pear Juice, Smoked Rosemary, and a Lemon wheel.
The food specialty to the fundraiser is a smoked turkey sandwich with Swiss cheese, coleslaw, and Thousand Island dressing on it.
When these two items are purchased, most of the proceeds will go toward the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), is the world’s largest voluntary (nonprofit) health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.
This initiative at Ironwood Tacern is being hosted by Kelly Pinkard, who is one of the 2024 class candidate nominees for the Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser for Columbia County.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Visionaries of the Year campaign is a 10-week philanthropic competition for leaders in local communities across the United States. Candidates and their team members raise funds for LLS in honor of local blood cancer survivors, our Honored Heroes. The title “Visionary of the Year” is awarded to the candidate whose team raises the most funds during the competition. The top Visionaries of the Year candidate in the country are awarded the national title.
The nomination is based on good character and efforts in the community. For 10 weeks, Kelly will host her campaign and lead different projects to help raise money for patient support and education. This special drink with Ironwood Tavern is just one of the many ways to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
This special at Ironwood Tavern will go on through April.
