Saweetie Debunks Album Delay Rumors
Saweetie is shutting down rumors that she is no longer putting out an album. In her interview with Allure, the rapper explained why there has been a delay with her debut project.
“I just feel like nobody was caring about my music,” she told the publication last month. “To me, music is sacred.” She added that because she cares for her music deeply which is why she hasn’t dropped her album.
However, in her latest interview with REVOLT, the rapper confirmed once again that the album would be coming, this time with a possibly new title.
“I feel like ‘Pretty B**ch Music’ has become more of a movement like the ICY GRL brand,” Saweetie explained. “It’s still in the running, but [with] the music I’ve produced and written, a new title would fit the body of work.”
So far this year, Saweetie dropped “Immortal Freestyle” in January and “Richtivities,” in February.
YG & Saweetie Breakup Rumors
Saweetie also made headlines into the new year after she and YG reportedly broke up. The split according to The Shade Room was mutual and that “both busy with their careers, and that’s where their focus is at this time.”
However, shortly after the post went viral, YG posted a posted a throwback video of the two at a Beyoncé concert writing, “The only block I’m tryna spin.”
The two were previously seen at Coachella last year, which sparked dating rumors. They were later seen in Mexico getting cozy in a pool. Neither of them spoke out about the relationship and haven’t confirmed if they are still together.
Before dating YG, Saweetie was dating Migos rapper Quavo. They called it quits after it was alleged that Quavo was unfaithful.
“I’m single,” Saweetie I’m single. I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.
She added: “I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Excited for this new chapter of elevation.” Quavo and Saweetie dated for two years.
