Georgia Steakhouse Named One Of The Best In The Country
A steak restaurant can be the ideal setting for numerous occasions. A holiday gathering, celebrating an occasion, or simply to have a hearty and delicious meal. Food & Wine has published a list of the best steak establishments in America, and a Georgia steakhouse was included on this list.
The majority of the establishments highlighted are not chain restaurants. Meaning, there are not multiple locations across North America. Additional requirements include the overall ambiance, and of course, prime cuts of meat.
However, in addition to these places delivering flavorful steaks there’s another essential food requirement. That would be the side dishes. Sure, the steak is the main event, but if you want a true unforgettable experience, having equally as mouth-watering sides will put you on another level.
The Georgia steakhouse that was named among the best in the country has been in business since 1979.
Located at 3130 Piedmont Road, Bones is strictly open during dinner hours only. The operation has preserved many of the traditional elements that made it a household name 40 years ago when many business meetings, dinners, and high-profile gatherings would take place. For example, there is a dress code for both men and women.
As for the menu, there are eight different steaks and chops. There is everything from a smaller 8 ounce filet to a 24 ounce porterhouse. The sides that accompany the entrée are also traditional and consistent. These include truffle butter mashed potatoes, sautéed spinach, and sizzling baked mac and cheese. For dessert, Bones describes their mountain-high pie as a “Bones tradition.” This is layers of vanilla and chocolate ice cream mixed with meringue and topped with chocolate sauce. Bones described this piece of work to Atlanta Magazine by saying, “It was created for special occasions, to make sure you we help you relax and unwind on your special day.”
