2 Georgia Spots Make The Best New Restaurants Of 2023 List
Yelp has released their best new restaurants of 2023, and two Georgia establishments made the list. The Peach State has crushed it this year in terms of opening new quality places for people to enjoy both unique and authentic food.
Furthermore, Yelp explained 2023 has been a successful year for the restaurant industry. This is of course great news coming out of what was an incredibly challenging pandemic stretch. “To celebrate the rising stars of the culinary world—and a 15% growth in new business openings each month this year (compared to 2022)—we’ve compiled a list of the Best New Restaurants of 2023,” Yelp said.
Both restaurants are among the 25 best new spots of the year happen to be in Atlanta, and both start with the letter O. However, they offer very different menus.
Oaxaca Ranked #17
“What best defines us is corn, which is imported from Oaxaca, Mexico,” Oaxaca explains. As such, this is a Mexican restaurant with an original touch. Their menu included creative variations of favorites such as duck confit quesadillas, and pork belly tacos. In addition, the drink menu is just as extensive (and creative) as the food). In fact, the drink menu consists of six different sections including wine, specialty drinks, and two zero-proof options.
Oreatha’s At The Point Ranked #4
Named after the owner’s mother, Oreatha’s At The Point featured globally-inspired cuisine. In fact, their logo is literally a globe situated within the letter O. This is in the Cascade Heights neighborhood of Atlanta. Here, to get the experience going, you can start off with small plate items like pizza rolls. Popular entrée items include duck ravioli or oxtail lasagna. If you are more in the mood for a handheld item, there is also a seafood salad wrap or fried chicken sandwich.
Regardless of your food-type preference two of the best new restaurants in Georgia are only about 20 miles from each other.
