City Of Aiken To Host Kickball Tournament This Weekend For The Community
The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation, and Tourism is putting on a Kickball Tournament! Do you think you have what it takes?
The Kickball Tournament takes place this Saturday, October 28, at 9:30 a.m. It will be held at the Citizens Park Complex 2 at 651 Old Airport Rd.
How to get involved with this local kickball tournament?
The community is allowing up to 15 teams to be included in the tournament. There is a $200 team entry fee. You must be 16 and up to be allowed in the tournament.
What do the winners get if they win the kickball tournament?
What would a tournament be without prizes? There will be a cash prize that goes to the tournament champs.
Rules for the City of Aiken Kickball Tournament
The will be 10 fielders, which will include 4 outfielder and 6 infielders. Those positions include 1st, 2nd, 3rd Shortstop, Pitcher and Catcher.
Each game length will be 5innings, which is equivalent to 45 minutes.
If the game ends in a tie, the winner will be determined using the California Breaker. The California breaker is by placing the last batted out on 2nd base with 2 outs and playing another game until a team wins.
General Rules
- No foul-outs
- 4 balls, 3 strikes
- 3 outs per half inning
- Balls must be pitched by hand
- Runner touched by the ball while not on base and the ball is in play is out
- Force outs are enforced
