North Augusta Restaurant Closes Down For Good But It Is Now Back As A Food Truck
Back on August 29th, Downtown T’s announced that they would be closed for maintenance, and for the community to check back for updates.
North Augusta’s community and customers via social media were eager for them to get back going, but unfortunately, the restaurant closed for good. Downtown T’s restaurant was located in North Augusta for two years.
This weekend, October 16, they announced some exciting news for their customers. While their North Augusta location is permanently closed, they have found a way to stick around the CSRA.
Downtown T’s is back operating but in a new location and in a new form. They are now located in South August, in T’s parking lot, as a mobile food truck. T’s parking lot is located at 3416 Mike Padgett Hwy.
The hours of the food truck are Monday – Friday, 11 am – 3 pm. The truck currently has a cash-only policy in place.
Right now the menu is very limited, from what most may remember. Dishes like the vegetable soup and the jalapeno hushpuppies haven’t made a return yet, but here’s some of what there limited menu will have:
Catfish Filet Basket
Flounder Sandwich
Chicken Sandwich
HushPuppies
Each basket comes with French fries and hushpuppies.
Check out Downtown T’s limited food truck menu below.
Food trucks continue to be a popular saving grace in the food industry. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a business close in the CSRA and then come back as a food truck.
Fuse, a restaurant located in Aiken, South Carolina, announced they would be closing down their restaurant location back in August.
Two days later they announced via Facebook that Fuse was back but in a different way. You guessed it, in food truck form! Now Fuse Mobile can be found at different locations and events around the CSRA. The recipes for the food truck aren’t the same as they were at the former Fuse Aiken location, but the ideas and the concepts of the dishes are similar.
