Summer camps may be over but there’s a new camp in town - and this one is all about horsing around. Aiken County Parks, Recreation, and Tourism have announced a brand-new program coming this August to Langley Pond Park! It is the Mustang Camp! It is a nature-based horsemanship camp that is for the ages 6-15.
According to Langley Pond Park, they have partnered with an equestrian team that has just relocated to the area, that has been offering riding camps, pony clubs, and other nature-based and equestrian programs for over 20 years in New Hampshire.
This camp is a good introductory program for kids that are interested in learning about horses and those that have never had the opportunity to be around horses.
The classes will run on Saturdays in August from 9 am-12 pm and 12 pm- 3 pm.
Aiken Farmers Market
I checked out the Aiken Farmer's Market in downtown Aiken this past Saturday morning! If you're looking for vegetables, you'll find them there, I also saw birdhouses, custom drink coasters, bagels, sunflowers, and more. Great road trip on a Saturday if you're looking for something to do!
