Augusta College Selected For Amazon’s Career Choice Program
Augusta Technical College had an exciting announcement today! They were selected as an education partner for Amazon’s Career Choice program. This will provide Amazon’s hourly employees access to the college’s associate degree, diploma, and technical certificates of credit with a variety of academic disciplines. Currently, Augusta Technical College offers over 138 programs.
Some of the academic programs offered at Augusta Technical college include:
- Health Sciences and Nursing
- Business
- Public and Professional Services
- Cyber and Digital Media
- Aviation
Augusta Technical College also provides adult education programming and general education, which allows students a way to transfer to many 4-year institutions in the region.
As for Amazon’s Career Choice program, this is an education benefit for employees to learn new skills for success, both at Amazon or anywhere. They offer a variety of education opportunities, including pre-paid college tuition, industry certifications, foundational skills, high school diplomas, and GEDs. Amazon is investing $1.2 billion to help more than 300,000 employees by 2025. This will help those employees gain opportunity for higher-paying, more in-demand jobs.
