CSRA News: AU Health New Visitation Policy In Effect
Changes to AU Health visitation policy are in effect as of today. With the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in the Augusta area, officials for AU Health are taking precautions.
The new policy requires visitors to wear a medical-grade face mask while in AU Health facilities. Visitors are also required to observe proper hand hygiene. For visitors without a mask, the Blue Coat Ambassadors at the entrances will provide one.
For patients with COVID-19, no visitors will be allowed. Patients that are not COVID-19 positive may have two family members at a time for visitation.
Waiting rooms are staying open with physical distancing.
This new visitation policy and mask requirements will stay in place as long as there is a rise in COVID cases.
