A Drug Company Accidentally Mixed Up Depression Meds and Erectile Dysfunction Meds…
Meds got you feelin’ down… down there?
Talk about a mix up! A drug distributor by the name of AvKare has made a pretty significant error now resulting in a large recall of depression medication and erectile dysfunction medication. The company gave the wrong medication to a lot of patients, and even gave a combination of both pills to some!
According to CNN, the tablets were “inadvertently packaged together” when they were bottled by a third-party vendor.”
It is unsafe to take any prescription pills not specifically prescribed to you by your physician. The depression medication in question can cause sedation, dizziness, constipation and blurred vision. The ED medication in question can potentially cause more serious health risks especially for those with underlying conditions, like lowering blood pressure to dangerous levels.
Thankfully, AvKare has not reported any adverse effects as a result of this error. Any AvKare consumer with questions about the recall or worried about a potential mix up can contact AvKare at 1-855-361-3993 Monday- Friday (8am — 4pm CST).
