CHICAGO, ILLINOIS - FEBRUARY 15: DaBaby performs at the Hennessy All-Star Saturday Night with Nas, A$AP Ferg, & Da Baby at The Old Post Office on February 15, 2020 in Chicago, Illinois.
A man that DaBaby roughed up on camera during the 2019 holiday season is taking the North Carolina rapper to court over the scuffle, as gossip site TMZ reports. Cristofher Pocasangre has just filed a lawsuit against DaBaby claiming their confrontation from last December equates to assault, battery, infliction of emotional distress, and various other actions.
Pocasangre said he was working at the Marriot hotel near Beverly Hills when he learned that the “Bop” rapper was on site and asked him for a photo. DaBaby said no, and Pocasangre admits that he took a selfie anyway with the rapper in the background, which DaBaby also confirmed.According to Pocasangre, DaBaby told the man to delete the pictures, which he said he did on the spot. However, Pocasangre claims that the DaBaby followed him and assaulted him after he deleted the photos. In the video, DaBaby can be seen shoving Pocasangre up against the wall and sitting him down while he stands over him. According to DaBaby, he was protecting his daughter, whom the rapper said was with him during the incident. DaBaby claimed he was trying to shield his daughter’s identity.
In a now-deleted Instagram video, DaBaby explained what happened during the incident, and he made it seem as if the man didn’t comply with his demand to delete the photo. Pocasangre is suing for damages from DaBaby and his management and entertainment company.
