INGLEWOOD, CALIFORNIA - FEBRUARY 13: Eminem performs during the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show at SoFi Stadium on February 13, 2022 in Inglewood, California.

Eminem has just been inducted into this year’s class of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Rock Hall announced this morning.

Although Eminem has been a staple in hip-hop many would argue that several other rap artists should have been inducted before him and never have been considered on the ballot including Snoop Dogg, Queen Latifah, Nas, and The Roots, amongst others.

Eminem will be inducted alongside Pat Benatar, Duran Duran, Eurythmics, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Carly Simon, Judas Priest, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Harry Belafonte, Elizabeth Cotten, Allen Grubman, Jimmy Iovine, and Sylvia Robinson.

Twitter has been split on whether the Detroit native is deserving of the induction due to other well-respected hip-hop artists not being inducted prior.

Take a look at how fans have received the news of the induction:
