Busy weekend ahead filled with festivals, comedy, theatre, and more! The Greek festival will be making its return this weekend for its fall celebration. Earlier this year the Spring Greek Festival was held and it’s back for its second round.

Right before the official start date of fall, there was the Arts in the Hearts festival to wrap up the summer festivals. Now it’s time for another popular festival in Augusta to make its fall return. The Augusta Greek Festival is a festival that celebrates Greek culture with food, music, vendors, and more!

The festival will take placaugue at its usual location at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Telfair Street. Admission is free and the proceeds through food and other vendors will go towards Holy Trinity ministry and community programs.

The festival opens Thursday, October 5 through the weekend Sunday, October 8.

On Thursday, the hours of the festival are 4 pm to 9 pm. Friday and Saturday the festival is 11 am to 9 pm. And on Sunday the hours of the festival will be 11 am to 6 pm.

On October 7, there will also be a blood drive going on from 1 pm to 5 pm. Donors receive a voucher for free Feta Fries.

Wondering What will be on the Menu?

Spanakopita – Thin Layers of phyllo pastry filled with spinach and feta cheese
