First comes Thanksgiving, and then comes the Black Friday madness! Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving each year and on that day you are liable to find the biggest retail sales. It’s also like the unofficial start to the holiday shopping season.
Other than big retailers, you know who also has eye-catching deals on Black Friday, local businesses! Often small businesses are forgotten about as people are running to get 80-inch Tvs and more. Here in the CSRA, there are tons of businesses that will be getting in on the Black Friday Sales.
The cool thing about local businesses getting in on the Black Friday deals is that it doesn’t stop there. Small Business Saturday, which falls on November 25, the day after Black Friday, is dedicated to them. It is a day to celebrate and support small businesses in the CSRA – this is also a nationwide event though.
This initiative started back in 2010 to boost small business sales and just to raise awareness. Small businesses have become a huge success for many over the past few years.
Augusta is home to several small businesses in the area and the city does find ways to bring light to those businesses.
One of those ways is with the annual Downtown Augusta Small Business Crawl. The 3rd annual crawl will be happening on Small Business Saturday!
