Diddy Makes First Instagram Post Since Arrest
Diddy broke his silence on social media on Tuesday (Oct. 15), but it wasn’t for anything scandalous. He returned to Instagram to wish his daughter, Love Sean Combs, a happy birthday. Love turned 2 on Tuesday, and Diddy’s account shared a slideshow of photos from the celebration, including a cake-eating photoshoot and shots of them enjoying time in the ocean. “Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday baby Love! Happy Birthday to you!! Happy Birthday @loveseancombs daddy loves you,” read the caption.
Comments on the post were disabled, and it’s still unclear how the post was shared with Diddy currently behind bars. Diddy and Dana Tran welcomed Love Combs in October 2022, making her the youngest of his seven children. He also celebrated her first birthday on social media last year with a heartfelt message. “Happy Birthday Baby Love! @loveseancombs I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART! Love DaDa,” he wrote, as reported by Vibe.
Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested in New York on Sept. 16 on federal racketeering and sex trafficking charges. He pleaded not guilty, and his attorney, Marc Agnifilo, has maintained that Diddy is innocent.
Last week, Diddy’s legal team filed a motion requesting an investigation into whether federal authorities leaked evidence to the media, including surveillance footage of Combs physically assaulting his former girlfriend, Cassie, in a Los Angeles hotel in 2016. Diddy has been repeatedly denied bond and is expected to remain in custody until his trial begins in May 2025.
As more sexual assault lawsuits surface, Diddy’s attorneys are seeking a court order to identify his accusers, according to a report from PEOPLE. On Monday, Oct. 14, four men and two women filed lawsuits against Combs for sexual assault and rape, represented by attorney Tony Buzbee. Buzbee claims to represent 120 other accusers with similar allegations against the Bad Boy Records founder.
On Tuesday, Oct. 15, Combs’ legal team submitted new court filings obtained by PEOPLE, asking the court to “require the government to identify its alleged victims” so that Combs “can prepare for trial.” His lawyers argue the case is “unique” due to his “celebrity status, wealth, and the publicity of his previously settled lawsuit,” and they claim there have been “grand jury leaks and false inflammatory statements” throughout the proceedings.
Recently, The Daily Mail managed to contact Wendy Williams, and she shared some revealing thoughts about the man with whom she has a long history. “What is really weird is that I have been told by so many people, ‘Wendy, you called it,’” she told the British outlet. “Including some people from my family who have said the same.”
Williams, who also assured fans that she’s “doing good,” commented on the Cassie assault video, saying, “You know how I feel about that? It is about time. To see this video on TV of [Cassie] getting pummeled… it was just horrific.” She added, “But now you have to think, how many more times? How many people? How many more women? It’s just so horrible.”
