Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival, Sept. 19-21: What to Know If You Go
This year’s Arts in the Heart of Augusta festival will see a few changes. Here is all you need to know.

Broad Street and the surrounding environs are transformed into an art fair, performance venue, and international food festival every September. This will be be the final festival under Greater Augusta Arts Council executive director Brenda Durant.
Steven Uhles | Augusta TodayThe Arts in the Heart of Augusta festival, scheduled for Sept. 19-21, has been relocated this year from Broad Street to the Savannah River area due to ongoing downtown construction.
Beginning Sept. 17, the following street closures will be in effect to accommodate the event:
- Eighth and Broad Street
- Seventh and Reynolds Street
- Ninth and Jones Street
- McCarten and Reynolds Street east to Eighth and Reynolds
On Friday, Sept. 18, several pedestrian paths will be inaccessible:
- The levee on the western and eastern edges of the festival boundary
- The river path on the west side of the Riverwalk Amphitheater and the east edge of the festival boundary
WGAT and WRDW reported that this year's festival will include a dynamic lineup of music performers and requires paid admission. Advance weekend passes are $15 and available online on the festival's website. Tickets are $20 at the gate, while children 10 and younger can attend for free.
