If you, like me, are always looking for new things to keep you entertained, here are 3 Netflix documentaries to watch right now.
When it comes to what I like to watch on TV, I’m all over the place. While my favorite genre is true crime, I also like fictional crime, law shows, reality trash and documentaries. I feel like when it comes to streaming services, there are so many these days that it can get overwhelming when you want to start something new. What app should I go to? What kind of show do I want to watch? Are there previous seasons I need to catch up on? That’s exactly what I went through a few weeks back. I finally decided on one and found 3 Netflix documentaries that I definitely recommend.
3 Netflix Documentaries To Watch Right Now
The first one, and my favorite of the 3, is Avicii- I’m Tim. Avicii is one of my all-time favorite DJ’s and this documentary captured so much about him and his life, cut short at the age of just 28. He had so many collaborations with different artists and it was so cool to see so many of them come to life in the recording studio. He truly was a composer and a musical genius, and really just a normal guy who was in it for the love of the music. The documentary does touch on the end of his life, but in a way that isn’t so much sad (even though I cried) as it is celebrated.
Next is Jerry Springer: Fights, Camera, Action. This 2-part docuseries is great for those that watched the show or want to learn more about the show that really changed so much about television. While this docuseries is definitely entertaining, offering a behind-the-scenes look into the trainwreck that was every episode of Jerry Springer, I learned a lot too on where the show started, where it went, how it got to be so famous and even a real-life situation that started on the show and ended in murder.
The 3rd documentary I really enjoyed is Don’t Die. This one follows Bryan Johnson who is on a mission to live forever. He is a millionaire that has spent tons of money on equipment, procedures, supplements, etc. to defy aging. It’s super interesting to see everything that he has done and does on a daily basis, but it has led to an almost obsession, however there are some basic habits involving diet, sleep and exercise that anyone can adopt. There’s being healthy and there’s going to extremes and this definitely falls into the latter.
