Four Counties Plan December Holiday Events, Parades
Throughout the Month
Shop for holiday gifts at the Holiday Market at the Marina, which will take place every Sunday through Dec. 22 from noon to 4 p.m. at the 15th St. Marina in Augusta.
Thursday, Dec. 5
Celebrate Christmas in Columbia County, Georgia. Visit downtown Evans for a holiday market that opens at 4 p.m., offering plenty of unique holiday gifts. Families can capture photos with Santa or The Grinch from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Christmas tree lighting will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Evans Towne Center Park.
Friday, Dec. 6
Head to historic Aiken, South Carolina, on Friday, Dec. 6, for a Christmas tree lighting event on Newberry Street in downtown Aiken from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Local businesses will stay open late for holiday shopping.
Saturday, Dec. 7
The Augusta Christmas Parade will step off on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. in downtown Augusta, Georgia. This year features a Light Up Spectacular! show at 4 p.m. and Christmas Tree Light Up at 6 p.m. in the Augusta Commons.
Sunday, Dec. 8
Visit Edgefield, South Carolina, and catch the community’s 51st annual Christmas parade on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m. Watch for Santa and many community organizations coming together to celebrate the holidays in Edgefield.
Thursday, Dec. 12
Downtown Aiken’s streets will glow with the lights of luminaries during the Night of 1,000 Lights on Thursday, Dec. 12, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Shop for holiday gifts as you stroll through the luminary-lined streets.
